Tennis
Tennis Club "Happy Days" in the Costa del Silencio has 3 tennis courts made out of artificial grass. Tennis racquets are rented or repaired by the owner of the club. The one hour game charge is 9 euros. The courts can be found inside the new sport and leisure park "La Garañana", situated next to the urbanization of "Villa Tropical".

Tennis Club "Vulcano" in the Costa del Silencio has 4 hard courts and 6 petanque ( jeux de boules ) rinks. The charge is 6 euros per hour. The courts are situated behind "El Chaparral". Less than a 10 minute walk from "Villa Tropical". Reservations : 0034 660 233 650.

Table Tennis
At "Villa Tropical" is a portable table tennis table. After the game please return the table to its spot and use the cover.

Squash
There are two indoor squash courts at the Arona Gran Hotel in Los Cristianos, directly on the seafront and only a 10-15 minute drive from the Villa. Reservation is recommended. Tel: 0034 922 750678 "Tenisur" squash , paddle and tennis club is situated in San Eugenio Alto . Its location is just behind the restaurant "Molino Blanco". There are 2 indoor squash courts and therefore reservation is recommended . "Tenisur" is a 15 minute drive from the villa and has plenty of free parking. Tel. 0034 922 791459. There are also squash courts at the sports centre "Tenerife Top Training". This sport paradise can be reached within a 20 minute drive from "Villa Tropical". Football
The football club "Guaragacho" is only a 5 minute drive from the villa. On the artificial grass children and adult goal frames are available. Football is allowed when training and matches are not taking place. Entry can be refused by those not wearing a shirt. The club opens its doors one hour before every game. Swimming
The swimming pool of "Villa Tropical" is a good size, being 16.5 metres long and 9 metres wide. Showers and toilets are available but "Villa Tropical" offers its own toilet in the wooden hut . For the fanatic sportsmen and women there is the big sea water pool "Alborada". In Los Cristianos many triathlon people are using the beach "Las Vistas" because of its superb training facilities. Payable parking at the harbour of Los Cristianos. At the sport and fitness centre "Tenerife Top Training" there are 2 pools available. One Olympic pool that is often used by top athletics from all around Europe and one pool of 25 metres. ( 20 minutes drive from the villa ) More information : www.tenerifetoptraining.com

Diving
Just nearby ( 1.100 metres ) the villa is the diving school "Coral Sub". The school was founded during the beginning of the eighties and it has gained a good international reputation. Beginners can learn the techniques of diving in the adjacent sea water pool. Bodybuilding
Nearby, 800 metres from the villa, you can find the sport and fitness centre "Planet Gym". Planet Gym is located next to the new sport and leisure park "La Garañana". Professional bodybuilding can be practiced at "Fitness 2000" , located in commercial centre, "El Duque" - Costa Adeje. The centre is managed by international bodybuilding award winner Mr. Honore Cirante and award winner Mrs. Margarita Kaszub. Golfing
"Los Palos" 9 hole golf club can be found 7 km from the villa, between the road from Palm Mar to Guaza. The club offers special classes for beginners and is open daily. Tel. 0034 922 169080. Mainly because of its superb and unique climate, golf has seen an impressive growth over the past years. In Tenerife today, there are 7 golf courses to choose from. A membership is an advantage but is not needed to enjoy golfing in Tenerife.

Mini Golf
A very unique designed Mini Golf Club is located in Parque Santiago V – Playa de las Americas. The two 18 hole mini golf areas are surrounded by a very rare type of huge cactus-plant, water features and beautiful flora and fauna. Open daily and no reservation needed. Excellent underground parking facilities situated right underneath the Mini Golf area. Only a 15 minute drive from the villa.

Kite und Windsurfing
The village "El Medano" is known as the wind and kite surf paradise of Tenerife because of its strong winds all year round. Several kite and windsurf schools are directly located at the beach. We recommend to leave the villa in the early hours as parking places nearby the kite and surf schools are limited. The spot can be reached within 15 minutes from the villa by taking the road through Las Chafiras in the direction of the fishing village "Los Abrigos".

Bowling
Outdoor bowling is available at the tennis club "Happy Days". From the villa its only a five minute walk. During the winter reservation recommended. Tel. 0034 922 786831. Indoor bowling can be practiced at the "Fañabe" commercial centre in Playa de las Americas – Costa Adeje. Its only around 15 minutes drive from the villa by taking the highway to Adeje and leaving the highway at the exit for Torviscas Bajo to arrive at "Harley Superbowl" 10 pin bowling . Right next to Harley Superbowl you'll find the entrance to the underground parking. For reservations dial : 0034 922 713040.

Paddle
The outdoor Paddle Club in "Spa" can be found in Torviscas Alto , situated above the highway of Playa de las Americas. It has one blue and two green courts . Distance around 16.4 km from the villa. Tel. 0034 922 716555 Outdoor Paddle can also be found in the Golf Country Club – Chayofa ( Arona ). Two green courts surrounded by look through plastic walls. Approx. 14 km from the villa. Tel. 0034 922 729691 Another outdoor Paddle Club is called "Club de Padel San Miguel" located in El Llano del Camello in Las Chafiras . Total surface apprx. 2150 m2 ( 7 outdoor paddle rinks !! ) Opening hours 10.00 am till 11.30 pm. Distance from "Villa Tropical" is apprx. 8 km . Tel. 0034 922 703680 In 2012, the recently opened Indoor Paddle Club in the area called "Las Torres" – Adeje, is situated in front of the new ITV car inspection centre outside Adeje. Basketball
You can play basketball at "Villa Tropical". The basket height is 3.05 metres making distance and close shots easy to practice. There are outdoor basketball fields in Los Cristianos next to the public pool which is a 10/15 minute drive away.

Beach Volley Ball
There is a beach volley ball area just behind "Hotel Alborada" in Tel Bel, Costa del Silencio – only a 15 minute walk from the villa. Volley ball competitions are occasionally organized on Los Cristianos beach near the harbour. For information on activities visit www.arona.es. Snorkeling
The "Montana Amarilla" coastline is ideal for snorkeling because of its clear sparkling waters and is only 900 metres from the villa. Another great location is the beach at Hotel Alborada in Costa del Silencio where many different types of fish can be seen. Access to the waters is by a little sandy beach or by staircase at the sea water pool. There are also snorkeling areas at Las Galletas, La Caleta, Punto El Teno, Los Gigantes, Guarachico with its natural sea water brooks, Abades and Poris de Abona.

CARE: The Atlantic is not like the Mediterranean sea and tides can change very quickly. You should always study the tides in the area before entering the sea. Look to see if other people are snorkeling too.

AVOID AS DANGEROUS: Area around Punta de Hidalgo.

(Step) Aerobics
The villa has a 'Step" with music equipment available. Aerobic classes can be found in nearby Las Galletas (20 minute walk).

Pool Table
There is a pool table in the Café Bar Exile at Commercial Centre "Coral Mar" approx. a five minute walk from the villa. There is also a pool table at "Hotel Alborada's" sea water pool in Costa del Silencio, entrance is via reception, approximately 15 minute walk away. At "Puerto Colon" Commercial Centre located at the harbour in Playa de las Americas, Adeje, there is a professional "Pool Centre" with 13 different size tables! It takes approximately 15 minutes by car to get there; follow the highway/motorway to Adeje and take the exit "San Eugenio Bajo". Reservations 0034 922 714217.

Surfing
You've got the possibility to surf nearby Las Galletas, a small fishing village. The best surfing area is located in Playa de las Americas – Arona. Cycling
At "Villa Tropical" is a racing bike and a child's bike. As Tenerife has no real infrastructure for cycling, we recommend only cycling in Costa del Silencio and in the village Las Galletas. The only safe day for far distance cycling is Sunday but do NOT cycle next to each other but behind each other ! ! In the village Las Galletas is a bike workshop , "Bicis Eurosport". Mountain biking
Just behind "Villa Tropical" there is a huge mountain bike hilly area. At the villa there are no mountain bikes available. You can rent mountain bikes in the Costa del Silencio or in Los Cristianos.

Karting
In 2012 , the Karting Tenerife Company invested into a new range of Super Kart – vehicles. This outdoor business can be reached within a ten minutes drive from "Villa Tropical" but you can also leave the car at the villa and call the Free Bus on : 0034 922 730703. Roller Skating
The indoor rink "Skate World" opened its doors in 2012 and comfortably holds 200 people. The skating rink has 1000 m2 of the latest top quality high-tec sports flooring , with its own spectator facility and café. The new rink can be found behind the new Lidl store ( above the highway ) in the area Torres – at the outskirts of Adeje. Equipment can be hired and the rink can be booked for parties. It is a 20 minute drive from the Villa by taking the highway to Adeje. Take the exit Armenime and at the end of exit on the roundabout first road to the right.
